"The era of procrastination, of half-measures, of soothing and baffling expedients, of delays, is coming to its close. In its place we are entering a period pf consequences."
~ Sir Winston Churchill
Wasn't he inspired when he said this? This is also used in An Inconvenient Truth to signify the turning point in human history where we would start to reap what we have sown.
This quote has been posted, not to deter or discourage, but to motivate and inspire to action.

I love what you said about our not being discouraged. We all need to go forth from where we are, not discouraged with our past behavior, but dedicated to going forward in a healthier, greener manner. And....for those who shop at Walmart, those energy saving, lightbulgs were selling in sets of three for less than $8.00 (in SoCal anyway)...that's a lot of power for a little energy at a fairly decent price...I would appreciate any tips the average citizen could do to feel good about "leaving only footprints"...thx for the good job you're going. DD
Thanks, desertdeb! Next post will be another Time Magazine tip for being "greener". The desert out in Southern California is a great example of what power a community can possess if they work together; and I'm speaking of the wind turbines!
I really like the layout of this blog and how you've got everything set up.
You're good at this stuff, man. You're very articulate, and that's a gift. And if I were to say that to your face you'd hold you hand out and say, "Well yeah but..." then you'd proceed to tell me how I'm more articulate. Trust me, that's how it would happen. But you are more articulate, hence you having the GREEN BLOG!
